Position: Senior Electrical Engineer, PE (Power & Lighting Distribution)

Office Location: Sacramento, CA 95815

Compensation: $70,000 to $100,000 annual base salary DOE + great benefits and cash bonus performance package

Thriving multi-discipline and sustainable design Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Consulting Firm actively seeks Senior Electrical Engineer, PE with considerable to extensive building/ facility power and lighting distribution experience for our Sacramento, CA office.

This Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the leadership and technical guidance of the electrical engineering group in the Sacramento office. Responsibilities will include project management and development of electrical concepts and engineering direction applied to projects; support of and assistance to the Engineering Director in technical evaluation of electrical engineering staff; and assistance in the business development of the engineering group. The individual will act as the spokesperson for the electrical engineering discipline within the firm.

Position Qualifications:

1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or Masters degree in electrical engineering.

2. Professional Engineering (PE) license in California (required)

3. Member in good standing of appropriate professional society (such as IEEE) a plus.

4. Minimum of ten to fifteen years (10-15 years) of electrical engineering experience in progressively responsible positions in related technical and leadership roles.

5. Electrical engineering facilities power and lighting experience including commercial, corporate, institutional, justice, aviation, and healthcare project types.

6. Certified LEED AP preferred. (not required)

7. High degree of analytic ability and inductive thinking is required for decision making and problem solving purposes.

8. In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering in combination with a high level of general project management knowledge is required.

9. Excellent communication and human relations skills are essential.

10. Able to solve a wide range of highly complex multi disciplinary problems, which must consider long-term organization planning.

11. General proficiency with AutoCAD software is required and Revit software is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide leadership in strategic planning for the electrical group and participate in the overall strategic planning for the engineering group.

2. Provide support for Engineering Director in hiring, orientation, training, education, mentoring, evaluating and supervising the electrical engineering staff. Implement retention strategies.

3. Develop supportive relationships with potential and new clients from electrical engineering discipline interfaces and nurture current client relationships.

4. Demonstrate or convey firm engineering strengths and service capabilities within and outside of the firm.

5. Assist with proposals and interviews. Be engaged in post interview reviews and follow-ups.

6. Act as a spokesperson to the electrical engineering profession on behalf of the firm.

7. Establish benchmarks for quality and performance for the electrical discipline within he firm.

8. Assist in reviewing and evaluating engineering human resource needs annually.

9. Develop and coordinate appropriate electrical engineering practice standards within he firm.
